Further Update

I went to bed last night after having uploaded the video I had made to help those having trouble opening up digital quilting files in Embird. I tested the video and as I  have separate speakers on my computer thought everything was OK. Just got up and I have 50 emails from people who cannot hear very well without separate speakers. I apologise for that.  Most of the emails were just letting me know but others were not.  This is just my hobby, I do not run a business or profit in any way from my blog. You will notice that it is completely free from advertising. I have now removed the video.

I am thinking that I may pull the blog completely, obviously my best is not good enough with quite a few people.

  2. There will ALWAYS be people who are not satisfied/happy with what "you" (i.e. other people) offer for free out of the generosity of their heart. Ignore them. Sure, their comments are hurtful, but let them roll off your shoulders.

Like you, I have a blog without advertising or sponsors. I write my blog for myself. It sure is nice when I realize other people are reading it, but that's not its main purpose.

Don't go thinking you need to re-do tutorials because something objected to your coughing (or the doorbell ringing or the cat meowing or whatever). You do your best at the time you're doing it at that's the end of the story. Maybe future efforts might be "better" (if you've learned new techniques) or maybe not, but if you're always doing your best, then the people who complain about it have very small hearts.

  4. I love reading your blog and seeing all your projects and creations. I'm sure there are more good people out there who enjoy what you do, than there are bad ones.

  5. I love your blog. I look forward to it every day. Please don't pull it just because there are some people that don't appreciate all that you do. Remember, the "delete" button is there for a reason. Don't stress over people's small-mindedness who can't realize all the projects you provide for free.

Haven't had a chance to try out the video, but I already know how to download and convert files in Embird.

  6. Oh Vicki I feel for you it's not fair people complaining. I don't machine embroider but I love your block each day I get your email to see what's happen in your part of the world I live on the border of NSW/ VIC and hubby wants to move to TAS I love your photos of the area. It's hard to take when people are mean. I have a saying
    An offer becomes a request
    A request becomes a demand!!!!

Sometimes you have to wonder about some people you do things as a favor next thing you know they are expecting it to be done free and on their teams!
I for one love your blog.
