Project Roundup and Another Heirloom Christmas Stocking tutorial

I have been working on Part 2 of  Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice Mystery 2013. This week I needed to make 244 of these chevron units. There are 6 pieces in each so doing the maths that is 244 x 6 = 1464 pieces I have cut. It will take me most of the week to make these units in preparation for the release of Part 3 on Friday night my time.

You can see what others are doing in this mystery by going to Bonnie's Link-Up Party page.

Block 3 in the Graceful BOM has been sent out this morning to all who have signed up to receive this. Just a reminder to those participating to download the remainder of the free designs from the BFC website if you have not already done so before they are removed to be put on sale.

I have also uploaded the tutorial for the Heirloom Stocking with a lace shaped heart that I taught on Saturday morning at Stewart's Sewing Machine Centre.

You can download the tutorial from here. If you already have the stocking pattern you do not need to download another but if you have not downloaded it you can find it here.

You can also download the previous stocking tutorial from here if you do not have it.

  2. I love that you chose different colors and look forward to seeing how different your Celtic Solstice quilt will turn out. I was not brave enough to choose different colors.

    1. I am going to get brave and use a dark plain colour for one of these colour ways one day.

  3. Your purples are gorgeous and look so pretty with your greens. It will be fun to watch your colors as the mystery progresses.

  4. You are using my favorite color combinations for your mystery quilt. I would have done that too, but having just finished Easy Street top with those colors, I thought a new color scheme would keep my interest better. Yours will be beautiful for sure.

    1. I just love these colours. I have given away both Easy Street and Lazy Sunday so each one is anew quilt to me. Whenever I buy stash fabric it is always in these colours.
