Once again time had got away from me in regards to keeping this blog updated.
Lots of things have been happening however.
Last Wednesday I had a mini pop up quilt show on my fence with the latest lot of quilts for our local women's shelter.
Most of the embroidery designs are from Hatched in Africa., It was wonderful to have some magnificent helpers with these quilts. I stitched out the embroideries and cut the fabrics into pieces to make the kits. The wonderful helpers then pieced the tops together for me and I then sandwiched, quilted and bound the quilts.
Don't forget most of the patterns for these quilt layouts are under the Free Project tab at the top of the page.
On Monday I was interviewed on radio about the pop up quilt show and you can listen to that interview HERE
Another lot of 30 fidget quilts have been stitched together and delivered to our major regional hospital and dementia service. Just a reminder there is also a tutorial for the fidget quilt pattern under the Free Project tab.
The BOM has been well and truly finished with all of the block files in the download folder. They will be removed just after Easter.
You can download the files from HERE
It was lovely to receive this feedback from this quilting group in Virginia
" Your Twisted Pole design has been a huge success with the attendees at the Life Long Learning (LLI) at Virginia Tech Beginning Quilting Class held in Blacksburg this semester! Attached are a few images from the class. So far all 15 participants have completed their tops (one has their border still to attach, but life happens). I will send images when we get to the final Show and Tell Thank you for the use of your design. As you can see, orange and maroon are the colors of Virginia Tech. "
I have also been busy giving presentations to various groups including the Tasmanian Quilting Guild and Zonta.
