We are back home after 5 days in Hobart catching up with family and friends. Wednesday afternoon we caught up with Dianne whom I have since we sat together in class in Grade 5 and that was not yesterday, let me just say it was before Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. We went to the Signal Station on the top of Mt Nelson in Hobart for afternoon tea. It has spectacular views and of course lots of birds. You can see down the Channel to the Iron Pot and Besti Island and across to the Tasman Peninsula.
My husband had a lovely apple and rhubarb crumble
and the Currawong and Blue wren had a wonderful time frolicking in the bird baths.
nothing better than laying down in the bath
Next blog post I will have photos of out trip up Mt Wellington which I have not done sinc my university days back in the late 1970's.
