I have completed Part 3 of the Easy Street Mystery Quilt (the link is in my side bar). We were required to make 64 of these shaded units. Each new part comes out late Friday night Australian time so I have a quick peek and then go to bed. You can check out what everyone is doing over at Bonnie's Link Up page
As we do each new part I am laying the pieces out on boards to photograph them but also to make it easier for when we have to put larger units together.
Block 4 has also been sent out in the Blackwork BOM that I am doing. It seems that those with AOL are having trouble receiving my email so please check the blog to make sure you are up to date with the parts you are receiving.
As many of you know my husband and I act as guides for Little Penguin tours in one of our Conservation areas each Saturday night. Last night we had a spectacular thunderstorm but I was able to take a pic of some cute babies waiting patiently in their burrows for their parents to return from fishing all day at sea and provide them with their evening meal.

Love your little blackwork bird! I guess that's machine embroidery?
ReplyDeleteYes Jane it is machine embroidery. I have quite a few ladies doing this BOM with me. We are using a set of designs that were given away making it affordable for most people.
DeleteHi Vicki, I love your block layout. Wow you look so organized.
ReplyDeleteHappy quilting.
Hi Stacey, yes like to gt myself sorted out so that I will be ready to put all the segments together.
DeleteOooo, that blackwork is outstanding!
ReplyDeleteI think your Easy Street quilt will have a watery ethereal feel to it, lovely.

Thanks Sharyn, I am showing peole how to split pieces of their blackwork in their embroidery software and changing them to red for this quilt
DeleteLove your fabrics and work. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Misha
DeleteI love your Clue 3 blocks--the colors are beautiful together. Your blackwork is very nice and I love the babies waiting for their mamma!
ReplyDeleteHi Debi
DeleteThe baby penguins are just the most gorgeous things. It is amazing how fast they have been growing over the past couple of weeks. It is a magical experience.
Awwww little penguin babies! I'm working on a penguin wall hanging that's going to be super cute when it's finished. I'm still learning appliqué, so it's taking a long time to finish.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have a go at doing some penguin "items". They will be on my to do list when I retire at the end of next week!
DeleteYou sure are a busy woman! Love your clue 3 colors and the blackwork is beautiful. What cute little penguin.
ReplyDeleteThey (little penguins) are just gorgeous Tami
DeleteLooking great. Going to be a stunning quilt. Quilt on...and thank you for the peeking penquins.
ReplyDeleteYour colours are looking lovely. Your black work reminds how little machine embroidery I have done lately. There are just not enough hours!
ReplyDeleteYour shaded 4-patches are lovely and the blackwork is amazing. Penguin cuteness!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed seeing your Clue 3 and your blackwork blocks. You have an interesting sideline with taking care of baby penguins. Must be so much fun.
ReplyDeleteYour mystery blocks look great!
ReplyDeleteStep #4 is posted...I'm off to sew!
I'm caught up on the Bird quilt now to get to work on crazy quilt blocks.
