Another set of quilts finished

Although my blog posting is very inconsistent you can be assured that there has been plenty of stitching happening here.I have just completed another set of 16 quilts for the Warrawee Women's Shelter here on the NW Coast of Tasmania. With our changeable weather, we took the opportunity to have a pop up quilt show on Saturday.
As with most of the charity quilts I make the patterns are for free download under the tab on the top of the page.

Of course, most of my time has been taken up with making with my Bridie's Blossoms projects supporting bereaved families of stillborn and miscarried children. I have made full sets of layette packages for hospitals and remembrance sets for families. These are just a small selection of the ones I have completed. With some families, their experience is still very new and raw whilst with others, the time may have passed but their memories are still very much in their mind.

The white lace bags are used by grieving families and hospital staff to carry the tiny wooden coffin boxes in the hospitals. I am currently making another set of 15 for our major hospital in the state.
Below are some of the gowns and packages that I have made recently.

Fidget quilts have also been in full production. It seems that there is an ever present list of requests for these from our hospitals. Don't forget there is a tutorial for these on the blog as well.

I am also pleased to say that all of the recent tests my husband has had following his breast cancer diagnosis, surgery and treatment last year have been all clear much to our relief and we are very thankful.
