Newspaper article

I was very honoured and humbled to have been contacted by Elenor from the Advocate to write a story about Bridie's Blossoms. Coincidentally, it is three years today that the first delivery of Bridie's Blossoms packages was made to our hospitals on the North West.

Hopefully I will have the instructions for the new BOM out over the weekend. I am working on a few packages as I do not have any left in my storage boxes.

New BOM underway

I have started a new BOM using the Hatched in Africa Enchanted Garden sets. This BOM is a little different that I am doing 2 at the one time. One is done with sets designed for the 5x7 hoop and the other with sets for the 6x10 hoop and larger.

Both quilts will be the same size, finishing at around 73 inches x 90 inches.

The quilt I am making with the 5x7 designs is going to be embroidered on black fabric and the blocks then made with the Firenze collection from Connecting threads. I can assure you this fabric looks much richer in reality.

The quilt with the 6x10 designs is going to be embroidered on white tone on tone fabric and the blocks then made with black/red/white and grey.

The requirements file has already been sent to those on my Hatched in Africa email list. If you wish to participate or have not received the file please email me.

My Helpers

Those of you who follow my blog know that a few years ago we adopted two cats from the RSPCA. They were in the in the same pen together and we could not take one and leave the other there. Misty the black cat is my cat and Hallie the tabby is my husbands. Misty sleeps at my feet on our bed and Hallie sleeps at my husband's feet. Most of the time they get on very well but there is often a turf war as to who gets to sit in which spot in this window of my sewing room.
